The Korg M50-88 is a portable Synth Workstation that features the same EDS (Enhanced Definition Synthesis) sound generation system engine as the M3. It comes with the top-of-the-line Real Weighted Hammer Action 3 (RH3) graded action keyboard and is the lightest 88-key keyboard Korg has ever made.

The M50-88 contains 608 programs with 384 combinations consisting of up to sixteen programs each.  You get a wide range of real acoustic instrument to vintages synths plus imaginative textures you normally expect from a Korg keyboard.  The core of the system is a sequencer providing 16 MIDI tracks with up to 128 songs and a recording capacity of 210,000 notes. It also comes with the standard arpeggiator with 5 preset patterns plus a polyphonic arpeggiator that allows you to produce a broader range of patterns. The M50-88 features the TouchView LCD display standard to all high end Korg workstations for excellent visibility and operation on an enormous amount of parameter data.

The Korg M50-88 puts a whole world of sonic sound at the tip of your fingers.  Primarily since it's an 88-key version with RH Graded Hammer action, sound quality is unquestionably superb and outstanding. It may not be the top of the line in its class, but the M50-88 is well priced and definitely worth looking into.  It is quite lightweight for the features it has packed into its body and the touch screen display is without doubt quite an attractive feature. Compact yet powerful, with a mix of natural sounding acoustics and hard-hitting synthesizer sounds, the M50-88 is one of the best workstations you can get in this price range if you don't want to blow away money on a high end synthesizer.
