Our Verdict:
The original KORG Pa50 has been recently replaced with the KORG Pa50-SD. The older model came with a built in floppy disk storage drive which seemed quite outdated at this day and age. Good thing Korg updated the model and replaced it with an SD Card slot. Now it delivers the most important elements a casual performer or a budget minded musician is looking for. Since it features the Korg's powerful Triton-based synthesis, this is a definite plus since it offers such a wide range of acoustic and electric sounds. Another strong point in the Pa50 is the XDS Dual Song player which allows a song to play while another one loads up. Players can then use the built-in crossfader to provide seamless segues. If you're looking for a reasonably priced synthesizer arranger which you don't need to carry around, and you're favoring sound quality over all other bells and whistles, the Pa50 could be one of the better options. |

Customer Feedback-
"The quality should be little better, it is made out of cheap plastic, but what a heck it has a great sounds and I am very happy to have this keyboard. My Yamaha had a hard plastic but the sounds were nowhere near my new KORG PA 50." - Actual User Review - Zzounds.com "Overall it's a decent board, but the 64 notes of polyphony can stall out sometimes leaving you wishing you would have purchased something with 96 or better polyphony..." - Actual User Review - Retrevo.com "Sound is beautiful, almost as good as the Pa800 or Pa1x. Preloaded instruments are nice, comes with a brief selection of oriental sounds and styles. One of the features it has that I love is the option to let you put your own (custom) sounds, styles, and songs inside." - Actual User Review - Sweetwater.com "Deathly sexy unit! Sound: Amazing in every way. Ease of Use: Didn't even look at the manual..." - Actual User Review - Samedaymusic.com |
