Our Verdict:
On the whole, the Yamaha MO6 delivers quite pleasing music production synthesis. The preset sounds are splendid and the wide range of tweaks you can do on the board makes the MO6 a sought-after synthesizer. It's a bit disappointing though that the MO6 does not come with an aftertouch on the keys; however the fully featured 16-track sequencer and patterns plus remote control features and assignable controllers can make up for that. The sound palette on the MO6 is quite broad, too so you have access to virtually all sorts of musical genres. It's not only a great tool for creating your own compositions; the MO6 is also an excellent live instrument you can integrate as the heart of a larger MIDI rig. If you're into computer-based recording, the MO6 has superb sequencing and remote capabilities which makes it a particularly appealing choice. |

Customer Feedback-
"I chose this over Roland Juno G and Korg TR61. First the sounds are fantastic, second, it's your "composing buddy", if you write song, it has all the features to help you "create" music. Third, is the Sound... yes I know...but it's why you buy a synth right? You want that "sound" So be picky! And if you are serious about your music, this is a serious board that will produce sound that you can be proud of." - Actual User Review - Samash.com "For what you get, this keyboard is a composers dream. It is feature packed, sounds great, and should last for years." - Actual User Review - Zzounds.com "The Yamaha MO6 offers a lot of sound and features for the dollar. It sounds very good, and does what I need it to do." - Actual User Review - Andysmusiconline.com "This keyboard has great sounds, I also have the Korg Tr-61 they are both great but the mo6 have a little more realistic sounds then my korg but the korg interface is a little bit better for my way of thinking there are so many things this board can do that I have not discovered yet but for the price and the way it sounds you can't find any thing in the same price range that can top it." - Actual User Review - Sweetwater.com |
